Our annual Winans fundraiser is an old tradition -- 37 years old, in fact.
But this year we are trying something totally new -- an on-line Zoom event that will feature two outstanding Michigan Democratic leaders as guests -- U.S. Sen. Gary Peters and 8th District Rep. Elissa Slotkin. The event will be at 7 p.m. on Aug. 23 via Zoom.
We've added some exciting touches to this virtual event. Our own Billy Mack of the Juke Joint Johnnies will entertain us with a couple songs.
And we'll debut an original campaign jingle composed for Livingston Dems by Nick Antonelli of Farmington Hills, a graduate of Berkeley School of Music in Boston.
We won't be serving dinner, of course, but we will have our outstanding silent auction -- with all items on-line and available for viewing before the event. You'll even be able to view the program book -- with tons of information about our speakers, our party, advertisers, and more -- on-line.
You won't want to miss this novel event so reserve your tickets now! A Zoom link will be emailed out the day of the event so you can participate from the safety of your home.
Remember to show your support with a patron ad, too!
And if you have silent auction items to donate, you may stop by our office at 8028 Grand River, Woodland Plaza Suite 7, Brighton, between noon and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Winans is still our most important fundraiser of the year and its success, even in the midst of the covid-19 crisis, is vital to victory in November.
Don't delay! The early bird rate expires Aug. 7 so get your tickets today.
(Paid for by Livingston County Democratic Executive Committee, 8028 Grand River, Woodland Plaza Suite 7, Brighton, MI 48114. Labor donated.)
